Stacking the Shelves [September 14th]

Stacking the Shelves is a meme hosted by Tynga’s Reviews featuring the books we got this week, and I also mention blog news/happenings of the past week.

Hiya guys! I hope everyone is doing awesomely even as the weather gets colder. At least for those up north like me. So even though Jenni is not blogging anymore, I still plan to only post an STS every 2 weeks, mostly because I rarely get enough in just one week to bother making a book haul post about it. Also this week, if you missed it, was my 3 year blogoversary. I did up a post with a sweet giveaway here! I also shared a fun sneak peek at The Gifted Dead here. So the past weeks were a tad slow for me, book-haul wise. I haven’t gone shopping in a long time, and I don’t request as many ARCs as I used to, but let’s see what I did get! 🙂

THIS WEEK’S BOOK HAUL:

I received for review:

*Big thanks to Disney-Hyperion, Rhiannon Frater, Sourcebooks Fire, and Raincoast Books for these pretties!*

Oh and because I lurve it, look at my new home office nook! 😀
I used to work on the couch before (lol), which was not fun for my back.

That’s all for me this week!

What a lovely new office! I use the couch often when I’m on the laptop and I totally feel ya on the back pain. Hope you enjoy your new reads! The Scandalous Sisterhood of Prickwillow Place looks like a fun one!

That office nook is amazing Giselle! I could sit in there all day staring at the pretties! Also you’ve received some great books, I can’t wait to see how you get on with When. Happy reading! 🙂

The office looks great Giselle! I do all my reading and blogging on my sofa, with an auxiliary table, so I know what you mean about your back!
    Happy reading!

I love the new office! I can’t believe you used to work on the sofa, that sounds horrible!

I did go through a period around January – March that sucked for me. I moved in with my (now) husband and had to order a desk chair. The one I wanted (Herman Miller Mirra 2) wasn’t going to be available and delivered until March. While my husband went to work I was able to use his chair, but when he was home I had to sit on the BED with my laptop. That sucked so much lol.

Omg the best must be even worse! The chair must have felt like heaven haha! I’ve been working on the couch for almost 2 years now uuurgh. We have our house on the market and we expected it to sell in weeks so I didn’t want to set up a whole office for such a short time, but it’s been almost 8 months now so I said screw it (the market here crashed). I ordered the Herman Miller – I went with the Embody which was strangely half the price that I see anywhere online. Maybe bc I’m in Canada!? But anyways it’s going to take 4-6 weeks so I need to sit on this crappy Staples chair until then *dies* (seriously, the couch was more comfortable! Lol).

I completely adore your new office. It’s so clean and homely and something I’d love to spend hours in! Too bad the place I work stuff on is in my bedroom and it can get pretty stuffy there sometimes due to the amount of things that are in it XD
